Driving Directions:
From Richmond, Virginia
- North on I-95. Exit on Exit 104 (Fort A.P. Hill) onto U.S. Route 301 North
- Remain on Route 301, cross Potomac River Bridge (H.W. Hill) proceed approximately 4 miles, then make a right onto Route 234
- Remain on Route 234 until reaching Route 5 (approximately 20 miles).
- Yield to the right onto Route 5 South, proceed to intersection of Route 5 and Route 245.
- Make left turn at traffic signal and proceed approximately 4 miles to intersection of Route 245 ad Route 235 and yield to right onto Route 235.
- Take Route 235 South into Lexington Park.
- Once you reach Lexington Park, continue until you to go straight through (do not turn) the light at GATE 2 (Great Mils Road).
- Once through the light, move to the left lane, make a left turn at the next intersection onto the parking lot.

- Go Southeast on George Washington Parkway for 1.8 miles to I-395
- Go Northeast on I-395 for .6 miles to Washington, DC
- Go Northeast on I-395 for 1.9 miles to I-692
- Go East on I-695 for 1.2 miles to I-295
- Go South on I-295 for .6 miles to Baltimore-Washington Parkway
- Go Northeast on Baltimore-Washington parkway for .9 miles to Pennsylvania Ave
- Go Southeast on Pennsylvania Ave for 1.0 miles to Branch Avenue
- Go South on Branch Avenue for 1.1 miles to Maryland
- Go South on Branch for 12.2 miles to US 301
- Go Southeast on US 301 for 5.4 miles to Route 5
- Go Southeast on Route 5 for 19.7 miles to Route 235
- Go Southeast on Route 235 for 19.2 miles to Lexington Park
- Continue on and look for GATE 2 of the Base
- Stay in your left hand land and go straight THROUGH the light at GATE 2 (Great Mills Road)
- Make the very next left hand turn into the parking lot, BUILDING 2189
From Alexandria, Virginia
- Go South on Jefferson Davis Highway for .6 miles to I-95
- Go East on I-95 across Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Route 210, Indian Head Highway.
- Remain on Route 210 South for 10 miles to Route 228 (left) toward Waldorf
- Route 228 will intersect with US 301 at the traffic light. Go across the traffic light (US 301) to Route 5 for 19.7 miles to Route 235
- Go Southeast on Route 235 for 19.2 miles to Lexington Park
From Reagan National Airport
- Take U.S. Route 1 South to I-95 North
- Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge
- Take exit 2A-B Indian Head/Washington D.C.
- Exit 2A – Indian Head (Route 210 South)
- To Route 228 East – Waldorf
- Cross over Route 301 to Route 5 South
- Remain on Route 5 for approximately 20 miles. Route 5 goes off to the right, however, continue to drive straight, which puts you on Route 235. Continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach Lexington Park, Maryland
- Once you reach Lexington Park, continue straight through the traffic light at Gate 2 (Great Mills Road). Once through the light, take the next left into the parking lot. (NOTE: The Employee Development Center is in view when you approach the light.)
- The Employee Development Center is a secured building. Please have your government identification ready. There is a visitor’s “buzzer” to the right of the main doors. If you do not have a Pax River badge, simply press the button to contact the security staff and they will admit you to the building and issue a temporary badge.
From Baltimore-Washington International Airport
- From the airport terminal take Elm Road to Aviation Boulevard
- From Aviation Blvd, take Dorsey Road
- Dorsey Road will take you to Route 97 South.
- Follow Route 97 South to the Route 3 exit toward Crofton/Bowie. The road will split, take the right merge.
- Route 3 turns into Route 301 South. Continue on this road until the exit for Route 4 South toward Price Frederick (this will be the second exit for Route 4).
- Stay on Route 4 for approximately 40 miles. (Pass through Dunkirk, Prince Frederick, and Solomons Island)
- Follow Route 4 South over the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and into St. Mary’s County.
- Once over the bridge, go another 4 miles to the traffic light and turn left onto Route 235 South.
- Once you reach Lexington Park, continue until you pass through the traffic light at Gate 2 (Great Mills Road). Once through the intersection, take the next left into the parking lot. (Note: The Employee Development Center is in view as you approach the light.)

From Dulles International Airport
- As you leave the airport, go east on Dulles Access Road for 13.3 miles to Leesburg Pike (Note: portions of the Dulles Access Road are toll areas)
- Go Southeast on Leesburg Pike for 2.2 miles to I-495
- Go South on I-495 for 9.8 miles to I-95
- Go East on I-95 for 8.0 miles to Maryland
- Continue East on I-95 for 7.3 miles to the Branch Avenue exit.
- Take the Branch Avenue South exit and follow Branch Avenue for 8.9 miles to U.S. Route 301.
- Go Southwest on U.S. Route 301 for 5.4 miles to State Route 5
- Follow Route 5 for 19.7 miles to Route 235
- Follow Route 235 South for 19.2 miles to Lexington Park, Maryland

PASS INFORMATION: Since the employee Development Center is located outside of the Naval Air Warfare Center aircraft Division, visitors are not required to obtain personal and vehicle passes unless lodging is located at the BOQ or Navy Lodge.
Students who are on TDY status and who will be residing at the BOQ/Navy Lodge contact Donna Perrie, Commercial 301-757-9103, DSN 757-9103 at PAX River NAS to obtain a vehicle pass within 72 hours of arrival. The following information will be needed to obtain a vehicle pass.
